Hi and welcome to About the Grape!

I’m Kristien, and in the last few years I have taken an interest in wine. So much so that after speaking with friends I have decided to create this blog!

Firstly I’m certainly no wine expert, I don’t claim to be one but I am someone who has over the last few years developed a passion and interest.

This all started after being lucky enough to do some wine tasting in California (who wouldn’t be interested after that right?) and since then I have been trying all sorts of different wines from all over the place.

So about me… I’m a proud Cumbrian from Whitehaven, but currently living in Cheshire. I went to university in Manchester to study Biological science. After uni I lived in south Manchester before moving to Cheshire, not far down the road.

I love all things Italian….. Italian cars, Italian food, most of my holidays are in Italy and yes you have guessed it Italian wine!
